    Default Delete or not

so the question is, should i delete my AC or not. i am trying to clean up my engine bay as much as possible, ABS gone (Never worked anyway), im going to stand up the Radiator, and last is getting rid of all the AC crap. the car is not my DD but i will be driving in it Oklahoma summers....i just keep going back and forth trying to decide what to do. also if i delete the AC can i still keep heat?

Yes you can still keep the heat. Personally I wouldn't. But how often do you use it? Are there days you hop in your car and crank the ac? Kiss those days goodbye.I'd keep it IMO

I was i the same situation as you a few years ago. I don't miss the AC or heat. I lost the AC first because I figured the car is a toy not a DD and I would probably only be getting it out if the weather was nice. I kept the heat because in the early spring and late fall it gets cool at the track and when the wife and I are out driving around. Last year I took out the heat because I didn't use it once. The heat from the LT's and engine were plenty to keep the passenger compartment warm. If your car stays outside it may be a good idea to keep the heat (mines in a climate controlled garage) just cause it may take some time for the car to warm up if it's cool out. I don't miss either one, if it's not a nice day/ night then I probably wouldn't get the car out to cruise.

I'm not voting because this is more personal preference than anything else. It's hard to rationalize the benefits of removing a creature comfort.

I deleted mine when I lived in CA, then regretted it when I moved to Texas. But now it's not my DD anymore, so it's not so bad. I prefer to roll with the windows down anyway. Like Joe said, it's personal choice really. I do love the way it cleans up the engine bay though. I chose to keep heat, mostly for the defrost function (which I'm glad I did).

keep it, it doesnt clutter the engine bay as far as the compressor goes being down below. on nasty day of heat is worth it alone. i like sitting at the track with my a/c on waiting to run lol, they make you have your windows up and can suck with no a/c when its smoking hot.

defrost uses a/c to remove moisture, removing a/c hurts windsheild defrosting with condensation on the inside big time

i would keep it but i live in south florida and i use the a/c 51 weeks a year and even that 52 week i would use it in the afternoon. unless you are running stepped headers it wont hurt to keep it. then again im one thats not concerned about looks but how fast it will go but dont want to be uncomfortable while driving either.
