    Default tranny/timing issue

first off new to the site and so far so good. and now i ask for ideas. i have a 93 383 camaro, and lately it has been running pretty rough. it idles fine but when i accelerate it has a kind of miss or sstudder. and then it satarts backfiring. now yesterday my torque converter bolts broke, further inspection showed one was loose. my question is could the knock sensor have been picking the noise up from the tranny and started to mess with the timing??

Absolutely. Any sudden noise or knocking can easily be interpreted as false knock.

Have you replaced the broken bolts, and if so, has the problem returned?

well car is back together but still the same prob. no difference. however i found one of the wires on the air charge sensor was about pulled apart. fixed that and it seemed to help. but it still acted a lil funny. also is there anyway to make a manual lockup switch on a 4l60? mine wont lock up and cant figure out why. dont know much about trannys

Make sure the plug is connected on the trans.

There should be a 5 pin plug running down the drivers side of the trans. It connects to a connector located above the pan, drivers side towards the rear corner.
