    Default 4l60e to t56 swap

Well my sunshell broke last week , So it was time for some work. Since this section doesn't get much action, I figured I'd post this here. Sorry about the picture quality as I only have my phone. I've been working on it a little bit after work at night. Its not complete but I've got a few days off to work on it now.

    Interior Out

Driver inner fender removed . Need space to work on the firewall.

    Hole cut for Clutch master.

    Mcleod Master bolted in.

    Weather sealed.

More to come as I complete more over the next week.

Can't tell if you did or not, but I'd make sure you reinforced the firewall around where the master cylinder is mounted. I've seen a couple conversions where the firewall flexed like a mofo (because the car wasn't designed with a manual option) until they got some reinforcement in there.
good luck with the swap man, I'm trying to talk another friend of mine into doing this to his impala!

There's a kit called the F2b kit. It is a block of aluminum that mounts to the backside of the booster under the dash and bolts to the cowl support brace also. The f-body pedals and master all bolt to this block. The firewall doesn't really get any more stress.

I need to update this thread as i have a lot more done. I have a thread posted over on ISSF. http://www.impalassforum.com/vBullet...d.php?t=261283
