why did you think you needed a progressive controller? i don't know anything about the rest of your set-up, but if your not pulling any timing an ignition box with the ability to do so is a good idea. other than that, i think you've got the bases pretty well covered

I would look into a window switch, something to retard the timing and a fuel pressure safety switch. If you miss a gear and over rev at wot, you do not want to be spraying. The fpss could also save your butt if the fuel pump craps out with you spraying as well.
The mallory box is used often to retard timing when spraying. Did you also look into a colder set of plugs?

I know nothing about your car but I hope you have a good clutch. A healthy shot will probably blow right through the stock one.
And x2 on a window switch and fuel pressure safety switch.1997 Trans am- M6- Ebay Longtubes, Summit X pipe with Magnaflows, CAI, Adj LCAs with relocation brackets, Comp engineering shocks, Competition stage 2 clutch.

Looks like you have all the right stuff. I would look into a Mallory or MSD box to pull timing while on the spray. Hook it all up and have some fun.

Make sure you use the window switch feature on that controller.
Also, you MUST HAVE something to retard timing when you plan to spray. Either a seperate tune for spray and the means to change tunes yourself, or an external device to pull timing. I was using, and loved the Mallory 685 box because it does it all, except progressive control.
You should install BR7EF plugs as a starting point (dont see your mods listed but I'm assuming its close to stock?).
You also NEED an upgraded fuel pump. Trust me on this, do not leave your engines fate in the hands of a worn out stock pump...
The tune is also very important when spraying if you want the engine to live.
Good luck

OK just to let yall know..
Motor is a built forged 355
I have a stage 5 competition clutch 6puck
Walboro 255/hotwire kit
30lb svo's
Tuning is handeld by Moe bailey.. I had planned to just drive the car on a nitrous tune and not worry about pulling timing since i would just have it pulled all the time.. Im questioning the power difference now though.. I suppose i could do two different tunes though.. Use tunerpro to swap themLast edited by speedracer2536; 06-02-2011 at 08:23 AM.
