MAP values with upgraded cam?
I'm giving up on tuning the car my self at the moment. I don't have the time to dedicate to it and I need to upgrade my FAST wideband in order to data log. Before I take the car to the tuner I noticed my MAP values are at idle (680-725RPM) my map readings are between 0.60 and 0.75. A friend says that it should be around 0.30-0.50. I had some trouble sealing the intake to the heads. Curious if my readings are normal with a larger cam or if I have a bad MAP sensor or a vacuum leak. My mech vac gauge reads 11"-14" of vacuum at idle.
Thanks in advance.95 Impala SS Clone

Not with a cam. Mine is at 57-59 at idle with a cam. Don't know about the 503 but I'd assume it would be similar. Also, before I started to tune it myself the mail tune had me at 61-65 kpa.
Stock cars are in the range your friend said.

Thanks for the reply. Looking over one of my logs I noticed that during part throttle cruising the MAP volts drop to .30-.50. But as soon as I come to a stop light and hit idle the jump back up to .60-.70. I wonder if its tune related...

I've seen low 30s cruising at low speed. Back up to high 50s idle.

Took a peek into the intake again after watching my vac gauges sit betweene 10-11". Sure enough coated in oil. Damn intake gaskets still are not sealed. Any quick ways of finding how much to resurface the intake to give to the shop? Or sealing it with out more down time?
