The heads were not fresh when i installed them.. I wanna get em checked for peace of mind.. I tq'd the mani. but these gaskets were 3 years old sitting on the shelf in my garage.. i Think they were prob. a bit dry.. I wanna also run a thinner gasket so im pullin em anyway

Ouch. Dry old gaskets are bad.
Agreed with getting the heads checked out. Might as well make sure they're nice and flat.
What gaskets do you plan to run? I've seen a few threads on intake manifold gaskets, and there are a few recommendations of what to go with and what to stay away from...but I can't remember'97 Z28...Sleeper648 RWHP 585 TQ - Speed INC Tuned! 383, F1A, blah blah

As far as head gaskets go im prob. gonna go with the imppy gaskets but im not sure.. Gotta see whats up with the heads first..
