Guys w/ 325s, step inside please!
Anybody tried the new M&H Drag Radial in 325/45-17 (28" tall, roughly 12.5" wide)? i'm looking to get a set of 17s and let the welds rest. I believe they say it needs 11" rim but i think the 10.5" i'm looking at will sufice. I know guys run the 325/50-15 so i'm guessing the w/ the dimensions it would be the same fitment.
Anybody got experience w/ these and how they fit?
thanks!2010 LTX Shootout Extreme Street N/A Top MPH-121.52mph #2 qualifier

The 325/50-15 is a tight fit after the usual clearancing of the inner fender wells. If the M&H tire is any wider, you will have your work cut out for you (literally
). Let us know how it turns out. Are you switching to these for the street?

Alan, I also heard the M/H run small are you going to run the 17's as your drag tires ? or is this for a street setup. I can tell you I cut some 1.46 sixties on Hoosiers 315/35/17's so I think they can work.
See pic.

yeah...got some American Racing TT's 17x9 front and 17x10.5 rears. Due to my low hanging true duals i want to stay 28" -ish. I spoke with John at M&H yesterday several times. Here's the deal, the first rendition of the 325/45-17 will in fact fit no problem BUT, as John said, folks kept complaining about them running smaller, so the new one, by dang, is freakin huge. The old one is #ROD-05 and is only barely wider than my Hoosier 275/60-15. The new one is #ROD-20 and what you'll find anywhere for sale now as the old one is gone for 2yrs now.
The new size is 11.3" tread and 12.5" width, a true'ish 325, which won't work easily on mine at only a pinky's width of room now...
Thinking of going MT 295/45-17 DR at 27.2" and do a little nip/tuck w/ my exhaust to gain some clearance.
These will be my streeters, as it spends most of its time on the road anyway. After talking to John at M&H he says they retooled the 325 and 275 17" tires to be full sizer's rather than the early slim ones. Oh, and i'd say those 315s do work for your car!!! Nice picture!
wow...i've never seen the front up so much...didn't know that pic existed, wow, says a lot for a 6spd on Hoosier radials! Makes my sig pic look weak!!2010 LTX Shootout Extreme Street N/A Top MPH-121.52mph #2 qualifier

went w/ MT 295/45-17...not as wide as i'd hoped but ok. The new rendition of the M&H 325/45-17 would have required more hacking than i wanted to do.

Yes they are the Hoosiers 315/35/17's and trust me I was as shocked as you are on how well these tires performed. I normally ran them at 20psi but on that day the track was holding so I dropped them down to 17psi.
I do drive them on the street but it's not a daily driver also it doesn't see rain with those tires.
