Auto to Manual console swap?

has anyone put a manual console into a A4 and kept the a4 trans? just trying to get some ideas, because i think the m6 console with the boot looks alot better.

anoyne have pics or swap info?

The only part that you'd be swapping is the insert, both lower consoles are identical. However, I think you'd have some clearance issues with 1st gear hitting. Not to mention that those inserts are really hard to find.

Injuneer on CamaroZ28.com did it, but he also has an aftermarket shifter.

im not sure but are the firebird and camaro console insert identical, cause in the pic above it looks different than my z28s.
