    Default which cam? two choices

So I am to the point on assembling my shortblock to install cam. Here is what I have so far, lt1 stroker standard bore srp 540sf pistons, eagle forged crank and 6 inch rods, eagle splayed main caps. Engine has first edition trickflows that have had portwork and new springs to match frst cam, My choices are as follows.

Cam 1: came in engine I didn't have numbers so I purchased a new one. I have since found the manufacturer of cam and got specs
    244/252 .609/.609 and 108lsa
Cam 2: bought new to replace original cam
    240/240 .610/.610 and 106 lsa

car is a 97 formula ws6 6speed I have no intake or injectors yet so any input on that stuff would hepl too. Just need to pick a cam now to keep my build going.

Also do I need to degree the cam when I install it for max performance.
    Pros/Cons of either cam.
Any and all input greatly appreciated
    thanks, Jeff

I guess first off we need more info, what exactly is the Cu In, % of street/strip driven, what are your HP or ET Goals..Then we can go from there...

I think it would be 377 as it wan't bored. More street than strip as we have no track anywhere near here. Most likely only acyually race once a year.Just wanted to see what the differences I would see between each cam. Thank you for your response

You powerband will come in a little sooner with the smaller cam and will ramp up fast with the tight 106lsa. The idle characteristics will be close since one cam has a little wider lsa but more duration vs the tighter lsa with a narrower lsa. I would probably go witht he 240 cam for a mostly street driven car only because of the power band..If it were a 396 then I would of gone with the larger cam..

Yeah I have already been in contact with him. I am hoping to be running by march-april. I am a roofer/sider and the temp was at -25 today so as you can imagine work is slow right now. Thanks for your repy. Jeff
