mystery headers
Ok guys, I tried searching for the brand of headers that came on my car when I bought it. I have no idea what brand they are, but I can say they are longtubes and on the driver side the cylinder one header pipe is like removable from the lower piece of the pipe so it can be removed to go around the steering shaft then slid back into the lower piece of the pipe and attached to the head. I dont have pics at the time. I thought they were pacesetters but I dont think they are unless pacesetter changed their design???

Does the #2 primary on the passenger side (#2 cylinder that is, the front most pipe) cross over the top of the #4 and 6 primary before turning down??? If so, they could be RK Sport or Arizona Speed and Marine headers as they're commonly mistaken for long tubes though they're really a mid-length.

Looks like their the JET HOTs! How are these performance wise? They fit awesome and they go in and come out super easy Im doing a top end build now with LE cam and head combo and I dont want the headers to be the choke point for power, however they look nice and seem like a quality piece....

I choose to go with Jet Hots. Haven't installed them yet but it looked like they were the best bang for the buck for a LT with a good ceramic coating.
According to LS1sounds.com
Jet Hot / Hookers: The Hooker and Jet Hot long tubes are of the same design. Jet Hot took the Hooker design and improved upon it a bit by moving the O2 bungs to the inside of the headers, plus they use a thicker tubing and have thicker flanges. Both are great long tubes and will run you $500-600.
