If anyone is looking for a shop to fix the bolt holes in the intake or heads Late Model Engines can do this. On one of my last calls down there talking to Brian he also said they have a guy that ports intakes and heads. He also said they could convert a sbc head to run on the LT1 block like what I'm running.

Just a 23* head. It is hard to run a better head on the small 4.030 bore. If your doing a n/a deal it is easier but the valve relief get pretty big. Not much material left above the ring with this bore.

so whats involved with putting a single plane on in place of a stock manifold? does the motor need to come out or the heads off to go the the machine shop to be matched with the manifold? if the manifold is drilled instead of the heads can everything stay on and just quikly swap manifolds vs pulling the heads to have them drilled then doing headgaskets and everything

It can be done many different ways. A lot of what your asking will depend on how the ports line up. It is possible to just have the sbc intake's bolt pattern changed to the LT1 positions. But if the ports don't line up quite right you will most likely have to pull the heads to do a gasket match on both the intake and heads. This could be a lirttle different for each combo.
