    Default i have a ticking sound, help

    o.k. tuesday night i raced a supercharged t/a............. i parked my car( no sounds,or ticking at all) i just started my engine to go out this friday...and i hear a ticking sound....i think its from my heads... do you guys think i bent a rod????? any help is needed i want to fix this 2marrow.... thanks

    Could it be a bad exhaust leak? Do you have headers?

    lifters, push rods, exhaust leaks, rockers, valve springs, check them all even the lifter retainer that the spider sits on.

    like i said on the other thread u dont need to replace them unless it happens often, save up for a cam swap and replace the whole valve train all at once if the car is stock.
