pwned by t3h plug boot
probably the most simple problem i've ever had to fix on a car, and also the most retarded because of how simple it was.
was driving home from the library today (about a 5 mile or so drive) and just puttering through downtown windermere i was thinking that something was a little off with the car. get out on a main 4 lane and yep, she's still got some power, but feels as slow as my old 2005 ion that i used to own. try puttin her in 6th, then 5th, both gears the car starts shakin like crazy and the shifter is all over the place. so i figure i got a misfire problem going on.
get the car home, wait about an hour or so for everything to cool off (i have this strange aversion to hot exhaust manifolds), start checking everything and lo and behold, the plug wire for cylinder 3 had fallen off.
didn't even take 5 minutes to figure out, yet the whole way home i was having visions of fubar'd injectors and fucked up opti sparks.
just figured i'd share, as this is just about the dumbest thing i've ever had happen with my car.96 Formula Firebird: M6, Hurst shifter, an ebay intake, some sorta muffler, stockness on the rest
94 Saturn sc2: intake, header, exhaust, P/S and A/C delete, gutted interior, PLX WBo2, SAFC-II, Crower Cams, ACT clutch, nytrex 75 wet shot, stock exterior.
