Crank snout keyway and timing marks?
I am replacing the timing cover seals on the LT1
I took off the harmonic balancer hub
Well I noticed something that slightly concerned me. The timing marks are not aligned but the "arrow" on the balancer hub was pointing straight up, but the cam pin was pointing about 90 degrees to the driver side head.
So I got the hub off and I noticed that the keyway for the crank snout is not aligned with the "arrow" on the hub. is this a problem?
should the keyway slot be on the same as the arrow???97 Trans Am WS6, LT1 factory 4bolt freak, M6,
