There's a link to Summit for a forged 383 crank (Eagle).

I was thinking the same thing, to be honest. I have an LT1 block at the local shop and he said a cast crank will be fine for what I will be doing but I'd rather do it right the first time.

yea thats the one im going with. Now my concern is with the pistons hitting the valves. Have to do some math to make sure the geometry is ok.

You never fully answered my question, what type of pistons did you buy?

.030" over doesn't mean anything, the piston pin postion is very important and it should say on the box wether its for a 3.48" stroke or 3.75" storke. The pistons you have might not be usable for a 383.
    Yep its slow.

Are you 100% sure??? On a 3.75" stroke the pan rails definitely need clearancing on at least two rod throws. What crank, and what rods are you using?

Yeah, sorry man those are for a 355. Well time to build a tough 355 and spray it!

tough 355+spray.....383N/A.... Option 1. sell the pistons+rings i have, get a 3.75forged crank, the right pistons+rings and have a 383. Option 2. find a 3.48crank and make a stout 355 and eventually add the juice. Hmm....Any input from the community? Does anybody know where i could get a forged 3.48 stroke crankshaft?

Ok ok...I found a forged 3.480" stroke crankshaft. So 355+spray is my final answer. Heres the link if anybody is interested
