Default Stall installation. What do I need.

Gonna get a Yank ss3600. I know Im gonna need a cooler and a tune but what else will I need.

The transmission has a corvette servo and shifts pretty hard as it is now, but will I need a shift kit, or can the tune firm the shifts up electronically?

Also, can I run my stock flexplate? Know a lot of guys go with the TCI but not sure why they change them. Basically I want to do this right the first time and dont want to pull this tranny again until it blows up. (but not from converter problems).

It depends on what your goals are and how much you are willing to spend.
Bare bones you could go with what you have.
The TCI flexplate is stronger and SFI certified; I like having the assurance.
I replaced all the bolts with ARPs b/c they were not expensive and the old ones may have been stressed.
I really like my TransGo HD2 shift kit. Very smooth shifts under partial throttle and kicks like a mule at WOT. Best of both worlds, IMO.
