what did these gear come out of?

i have ring and pinion that i know for sure are 3.73s, trying to find out what they came out of or what? they don look like they have ever been used. I am going to swap out gears in a couple days and was trying to find out as much info as i could before the install. i heard there are 2 cut and 5 cut gears and install is different for both any help is appreciated

on the pinion:
14092112-11-41-GM-7 5/8

and on the ring:
GM-14092111-11-41-7 5/8
