700r4 differences/Please help!
I'm sure I could've found this with a search but I need a definitive answer post haste! I just smoked the 700 in my 93 Z. All I can find are 2wd truck trannys. What needs to be done to get those in my car? Just a shortened driveshaft? I can't afford a rebuild right now. I'm planning on rebuilding my stock tranny myself but that's over a period of time. I want to drive my car now! I just bought the damn thing and smoked the tranny on the way home the day I bought it.

I answered this in my year interchange thread. A '93 F-Body uses a '93 4L60. That's the only year that will work in it.
