Default 1996 camaro running rough at times

Ok so I changed my oil the other day and with my luck the fuel pump ground wire came loose and I fixed it then for some reason when I tried to drive home my rpm's started going up and down rapidly and then i loss power and my car wanted to die. At times it would drop down to 0 rpm. When I pushed all the way on the gas it wants to go but the rpms again drop to 0 and it falls flat on its face. Then after I sprayed brake clean around the bottom of the opti it stopped doing what it was doing then drove fine but now it's starting it up again. I have replaced the distributor, coil, icm, water pump and plug wires this year. I haven't changed the plugs in like 2 years. And the fuel pump was changed. Could this be a opti problem? And when I rev I smell a somewhat odd odor and alot of gas
