The 97 has heated O2 sensors (like anything after 1993). The heaters are more than powerful enough to get the O2 sensors up to temp with headers, before the 206-second timer for closed loop transition times out, at least in the numerous data logs that I've reviewed. And of course the PCM would not kick into closed loop if the O2 sensors weren't active.

Well new ac delco o2 sensors were put in. Now the one of them is acting lazy. Wtf, when will this lt1 just perform like it was ment to.
97' Silver Z28 Golen motor works 396 lt1, hooker long tube headers, hooker ory-pipe, slp loudmouth 1 exhaust system, moser 12 bolt (4:11 gears). BMR (springs, rear sway bar, tongue arm, control arms, sub-frame connectors, pan hard bar, tower bar ) level 6 T56 trans.
