Default new guy and dont know much

hey guys im new here your trans guy Frank sent me here. I bought my Trans Am GT a couple years ago and its sat more than i drove it. I dont drive it in the winter and had vats, possable opti issues, etc. Besides that the motor is pretty intimidating not to be a puss! there is like no room and i never had worked on it much or deep and afraid to mess it up! go online and ask u get so many answers like LS it but i can see the good of both motors and with proper care the opti shouldnt be a big thing and i think it is blown way out of the water on that but idk im new. i try to follow the online stuff and soak up knowledge and whatever i can get.... how to's and easy way out like "i learned the hard way" so if anybody has good motor info or anything good to know PLEASE share your knowledge with me!

right now my bird i notice it wasnt shifting right and i ust blew my trans not long ago, long internet search i came with Frank Calhall and he has been of great help with info. Right now he has my trans and building that beast and i know its only a matter of time my motor goes so i want to build a side motor and be half way ready. im not looking to go to wild just about 500hp with or with out spray.... i know i want a cage but it has to be user friendly this car is going to get DROVE lol. i say cage because i know that much power you need protection and 2 months ago i had a trash truck pull out in front of me and i was only going 55 and almost died and smashed in the car. i have to say being smashed in, trapped in a car you get these new feelings and really and to put a cage in my suv now lol. i got lucky just messed up my right side of my body, compound upper femur fracture, chest trauma, cartridge tear in my left knee and shiny tititum rod in my right leg

but i dont know much and go cross eyed after a few sentences so i like to directly ask and talk to people i dont like reading books.... case point the manual on how to pulls the trans.... i plan to burn that bi*ch lol

I hope to find a good home and less dicks( trolls) here. my thing is the only wrong question/ stupid question is the one not asked unless you r my wife then dont talk at all lol

    Thanks guys!!

Def the right place. WE ARE NOT like that other forun that says LS IT. we are all geae heads here...

Your very right about the opti...and its about what u buy. We have incredible sponsors/vendors here. Find the proper sections amd ask away with ur individual problems.... That way people with more knowledge in certain areas can get right to helping u.

BACK TO THE OPTI...if u feel u need one, gail @ american-powerhouse is the way to go (she is a sponsor here.

ALSO...dont let the motor compartment intimidate u....

NOW... lets get some pics of ur ride.

Glad you made an intro thread. Where are you from? If you took your trans to Frank you wont be disappointed. Also, your goals are very obtainable without going deep into your budget. Post pics, start a build thread and don't be a stranger.
