Noob with a '95 Formula in NB, Canada

Thought I would do the intro/pic whore thing since I'm sure I'll have a few questions for you guys in the future.

The bird is a '95 Formula LT1/T56 with about 120k miles on it. From what I can tell it's basically stock except for the ram-air setup and a magnaflow cat-back. The previous owner swears the ram air was factory but from what I can tell it wasn't an option until '96, correct? I decoded the VIN and didn't see anything there indicating it was factory.

It came with the original 16" wheels and C6 5-spokes



I already had a set of '95 Firehawk 17's with 275/40 Toyo 888R's I was using as auto-X wheels for my truck so I tried them out at one event this summer. The car still has the original shocks and isn't a WS6 so it was lots of fun but not particularly quick in the turns!



Plans for now are just to freshen up the suspension and use it as a DD with some occasional auto-X if my truck is out of commission. I'll probably do the typical bolt-ons and a tune but I don't have any major plans for the motor right now.

I've been auto-X racing this for about 7 years - just a V6/auto but it has some weight reduction and lots of suspension mods so it works well on tight courses where big power isn't that much of an advantage.


The formula isn't my first f-body - I also had a 1980 turbo T/A a few years back. It was a bit rough but it was still a fun car.
