Valvoline full synthetic doesn't require the additive but its best to add it also.

Truthfully, I wouldn't run Royal Purple anything on a bicycle chain. RP is a marketing hype and one time dyno # queen.
I have personally seen many tests that RP has failed in a very short time.24x LTx 383, and a few odds-n-ends here-n-there.

SS RRR, this goes back a number of years now, but, here's why I think the LS1 SS's had the Auburn posi.
When the LS1's debuted in the Z28 Camaro's (1998), SLP in Toms River, NJ was doing the SS "conversions" for GM. I'm thinking that part of SLP's SS "conversion" was to take the (then) stock Torson posi's out of the Z28 Camaro's and replace it with their Auburn unit. I'm thinking this is correct, because during that time ..... SLP was selling a ton of $99 Torson "take out" LSD's, (advertised with having less than 7 miles on them). I'm pretty sure these extremly low milage $99 Torsen LSD's that SLP was selling out of their parts catalog ....... came out of the Z28 Camaro's that SLP was "converting" to SS's????Last edited by 97 6speed z; 07-31-2013 at 11:38 AM.

Did a quick search, and it looks like we're both right. Well, you're more right than I am, but nonetheless...

Torsens are great for auto cross/road race. Not so much for drag racing. The casing is thin and has many vent holes which makes it extremely vulnerable breakage.
