I'm not one of them. haha I mess around on an old Epiphone Les Paul, can play basic chords, a few songs, but I'm not anywhere near as good as I'd like to be. Spent 14 years learning to play Saxophone (played from Jr. High through college, still play a little now), but didn't really have any interest in learning guitar until I was out of High School. Played electric bass in a jazz band in college, but I wasn't anywhere near as good as I thought I was then either.
I'm hoping to pick up a decent strat to practice on, if for no other reason than to have a creative and productive hobby. . .
There are some beautiful axes in this thread!
