I've been running MSD coil for as long as I can remember without a problem, but I kept the stocker just in case.

Check the resistance of the coil cold and hot. Maybe heat is causing a short or open in the windings.

8231 is the one I have. But it is just weird now. Wouldnt work so i got a new one. Then i tested for the heck of it and it worked again. I drove it today on the msd coil without any issues, went about 50 miles.. isn't making to much sense to me now. Ill go ahead and check resistance.
