    Default Self aligning rockers.

    1st post, woot!

Does anyone use them? It seems lke every h/c set up I see (which is what I am in the middle of planning) everyone is running NSA rockers.

The reason I ask, Lloyd suggested using sa rockers for his le2 set up, stating that they work better with lt1s for this set up, and that NSA's are over kill and cause less issues with this set up. I of course want to listen to lloyd, because he knows his set up. I am just curiouse why other people do not use them with set ups that don't rev very high.
    pthanks a bunch!

I personally like the idea of having the guideplates with the NSAs... I don't know if it's just what I've been misled to believe but when I was doing my CC503 it sounded like SA rockers were more prone to popping off the pushrod.

If your cam's gonna have more than .600" lift or you anticipating reving to more than 6K RPMs.....NSA rockers w/guideplates are a real good idea.

If you're gonna go with self-aligned rockers anyway (under the above conditions), I say go with STEEL rockers versus aluminum.

I've been running the 1.6 GM self aligning roller rockers that come in the hot cam kit on my 397LT4 for well over 10 years and over 1000 passes with no issues. My cam is .589/.599 and I shift at 62-6600RPM.

I ran SA pro mags on my last LE2 setup, spun it to 6500 regularly, and never had a rocker come off.

I've used them in the past for years and never had an issue. I'm installing them this weekend on my bolt on car.

Comp Pro Mag 7/16" NSA with hardened comp pushrods and guideplates here. I'm going to be revving to 7k so SA's are out.
