easy and inexpensive stereo system! helpful info!
For those of you who have a car but no nice sounding sound system I've got an easy and relativly inexpensive or at least it will save you some money. If you have an ipod or a mp3 you can use that as your deck. What you will need is a crossover. Preferably a adjustable one. That's the key! You run the mp3 or ipod into the crossover and run the rca's and wiring to your apms as normal The crossover will make up most of the sound deficencies for the mp3 or ipod. Make sure your crossover is a quality! I'm currenly using a coby ($35 to $45 bucs on amazon) a clarion adjustable crossover and a soundstream amp for a single 10 inch woofer and a 4 chanel amp for my 4 61/2 in speakers for sound. The sound is great and using a simple pair of rca's with a headfone plug in you can uase any device with the same headfone plug in on your system. No more worrying about someone running off with your expensive stereo either. Best thing is that if someone uses your car they can plug their device and listen to the music they like. Is the sound quality as good as with a high end stereo? No but you can come pretty damn close at a fraction of the cost. Ill try to post pics as soon as I can. Bope this helps!
