About the nastiest cam with stock heads and bottom end is the Competition cams cc503
If you port the heads and build the shortblock for 6500-6800RPM a Competion Cams CC306, XfI 280, or GM 847 Cam thumps and runs nice.
If you buy a custom shelf grind from AI or LE you'll get maybe 5-10 more horsepower.

Go with joe`s suggestion! I threw in that cam 3yrs ago when I was planning cam only. I`ve since gotten some heads for it too but stuf came up that sidelined the car before it was finished. Thers not a whol lot of results threads on the cam(last i knew) but i want 2 say it was joeliusZ28(spelling doesnt look rite can sum1 back me up) who made a thread on it & he made some damn impressive #`s cam only. Do an advanced search on that, not sure hes over here so u may need to pop onto ls1tech. & as ur mostly concerned w/ sound youtube has some AI226/224 clips.So excited to finish mine up this winter & see what she`ll do!

And if thats not choppy enough they`ll grind u 1 w/ a 110LSA opposed to 112LSA
