Grudge match with a 4.6l car
A kid I live near has a 2008 GT that has full bolt ons, intake cams, tuning and a high stall converter has been trying to race me on the streets for a bit now. He has been trash talking my slow LT1... Ran into him at the college nationals at Milan this past spring.

I ran a 12.76 @ 104 1.84 60' and .0161 reaction time... it was braket racing so I let off about the 1000' once I saw I lost him. He ran a 12.85 @110.
I have talked to him since. He added me on facebook shortly after asking if I was running bottle. It was good for a quick laugh.
I have since been cutting low 1.7 60', with the new 3600 stall those should be lower yet!

Nice kill! Mustang kills rank right up there with a good civic with a fart can kill. Best part of the story, it was done on the track and not the street.

Funny story about that, my winter ride is a 1996 Saturn SC1 that I swapped the DOHC and MP3 out of a 1998 SL2 into.
I have a big stupid can on it just for laughs. A Civic witha huge Vtec banner on the front glass and a nasty fast and the furious body kit pulls up to me, bounces his engine off the limiter a few times. Just for the hell of it I tried running him, beat him up to 55mph pretty easily. I am not a fan of street racing, but just running up to the speed limit on a 5 lane road to embarrass some kid in a Civic is worth it to me.
It ran out pretty good with a stock restalled converter. I think it was only a 2000 stall, anyways hopefully with some weight sheded and my new 3600stall/built trans it'll run low 12s, maybe a 11.99. That would be nice anways.
Best time slip from before that all I could find was 12.57 @ 114 mph 1.76 60', that was full weight plus the stupid stereo and spare tire stuff.
On my list to improve:
Less weight
Adj. T/A
T/A relocation
3.90 gears
I love that my car was a V6 also, a lot of people who I have not seen since highschool always ask me how my slow V6 is doing and what not, the look on their face when I start it is priceless.Last edited by jderry; 12-14-2012 at 10:26 AM.
