Got a lead on a built Zo6 tranny
So tempted to pull the trigger. My syncros are worn, it's 120K mile c5z so it's bound to happen. I can still shift w/ no problem but on that rare occassion she'll grind. Anything past 40mph and downshift into 3rd will not happen. Reverse will grind too but 15% of the time only.
So there is a built 02' c5z T56. Has the following upgrades. billet 3-4 shift keys, bronze fork pads, G Force heavy duty main shaft and Im pretty sure it has the 3-4 steel shift fork.(Its been a while and all parts will be verified) I have a total of 3500 miles on this transmission. It works great in my 900 rwhp Z06 but I feel I'm making too much for it. I would rather upgrade to a stronger unit. It will be pulled and sent back to the builder for a bill of good health to make sure the new owner has a flawless transaction. Price= $1600
DTE brace for 350.00 and a Textralia exo skel that has about 3500 miles on it and 4 track passes on it. Drove fine in the car just and has never slipped. $600!
Hell just to rebuild my existing tranny I'd think it'd cost around 1K. So for 2K plus shipping I'd have a killer setup and would only need the tick master.
So why won't a I pull the trigger?! I know at a min I should buy the tranny, my diff is already built and don't need his that he is also selling. I'm gonna regret this but I want to get the camaro running 1st.
