hooker 2062 ?

I am installing some hooker 2062 shorties and y pipe on the car. ( yes yes yes, LT's or go home.. k now that is out of the way... ) I got these for free and started the install, its taking a bit because I am fixing other issues along the way. BUT I noticed that where the collector joins the Y-pipe it looks like their is a bit of extra material on the joint ( shortie collector side ) that I could trim up to improve the flow from collector to Y.

Has anyone done this? would it be worth it? I figure maybe 30 min total to mark up and trim ...

After the Y I am putting a dynomax VT that will be dumped before that axle.
