    Default Ticking when cold

I'm trying to figure out the issue.... I'm thinking it is either valve train or an exhaust leak... When I start up cold and accelerate away I hear a steady ticking that follows rpm.

I took the valve cover off. Wondering if the rockers are suppose to be this loose?

I tried to take a video of the ticking but I don't think it came out well....

    Any help would be appreciated

If it is just noise then I will live with it. Mainly I don't want to hurt the car so I want to find out the cause.

I use an EVAP smoke tester to find all kinds of leaks. Seal off one exhaust tip and fill the smoke into the other. i had an exhaust leak on my car and the rear bolt on the drivers side header had broken off in the head.

well I shot gunned the problem and it seems to have worked. I adjusted the valves, flashed the stock fuel and spark tables, tightened the y pipe and manifold bolts, and changed the spark plugs. The tick is definitely less noticeable. Almost gone. I will have to wait for the engine to be stone cold before I will be able to see if my problem is completely gone or not.
