I've never tried the bottom route, but I can have it out of the top in 3-4 hours by myself. It's easier if you take the intake off.

If you can get it out the top in 4 hours, you should be able to get it out the bottom in 3.

If you have a cherry picker to pull it out the top, you can drop it out the bottom with the cherry picker. If trying to come out the top, something which may cause a fly in your ointment is if you don't have a long enough cherry picker arm, the jack from the cherry picker will butt up against the nose of your car possibly causing damage. I had this problem when I tried to come out the top of my parts car. I did the swap in my 94 out the bottom and will not do it any other way on these cars again. JMHO.
