Factory 4bolt main vs Splayed mains

If you are talking about splayed mains, my answer is no.... they are drilled in on an angle actually increasing main strenght

Is it true that sometimes converting to a 4 bolt will make the block weaker because you are drilling into the block and removing material? That's what an engine builder told me.
