Default Need help 06 Monte carlo

I have an 06 Monte Carlo my daily and 2 weeks ago I went to go somewhere and all power lights and everything come on but it won't start. Doesn't even attempt to turn over. I hear a click under the dash and nothing happens. No codes or anything. I replaced the battery and I fixed two wires goin to the starter that were beat up. I don't think it's the starter with it being so sudden. It worked fine till then. It won't start with the remote start either. Any idea? I don't know where else to look

You said there were 2 wires that were beat up. Did you check your fuses?

Best thing to try at this point is to make sure you have 12v going to the solenoid on the starter from the battery and 12v at the purple (probably) start wire at the solenoid with the key in the crank position. If you have both of those, it's got to be the starter. If you are not getting the 12v with the key in start position, it could be a neutral safety switch or the anti theft could have it locked out. Try a different key if you have one. I had an 04 impala that would act up like that from time to time but it would flash "security" on the dash.

The purple wire has no power with the key turned to crank. Main wire to starter has power. I've tried both keys as well.

Not sure on that one. On the f bodies there is a second cable on the shifter that run up to the steering column to the switch. It may be that way on the monte carlos
