24 x tune.
Hi everyone New to this site and I'm looking for some info just like everyone else
I have a 95 z28 lt1 auto 24x conversion ported heads cam injectors ls1 411 PCM long tubes ect. I have some minor differences in the way it starts and runs from the way it did with the 95 PCM So I found a few different files here and on some other sites that I'd like to compare to my present tune but I can't seem to open them with cats winflash or tuner pro rt Both which I downloaded last night from links I found here and ideas on what I'm doing wrong? I have hp tuners but I know that can't read these old PCMs because of the different type of file but i figured I can open them both up with different programs and copy some parameters

From my limited experience with 24X tuning, you will need to basically start over.
The LSX PCM works in a very different manor than the LTX ones. Timing tables will be similar, but it's not a copy and paste thing. The engine will run totally different with a 24X setup.1998 Bright Green Metallic Trans Am LS1/M6, Cam/Intake/Exhaust, Full Suspension, 3.42 gears, 30 MPG highway and 397 RWHP on untouched heads, 12.47@115 mph.... needs gears!

It's all together and great. I just wanted to compare things to try and see where the program differences are. This is my first tine tuning anything I'm an ase master tech but programming is a whole different world I miss the bark of my lt1 on a cold start
