Dash cracked, so I want to swap some interiors lights...
Well my dash has finally cracked and I will be replacing it soon so I want to make a project of it and swap all my interior lights when I have stuff torn apart. I want it all blue inside. I have no problem switching to LED in the dome and map lights, however for the dash and gauge cluster, I think I want to stick with stock type bulbs. I have been reading about how much brighter the LEDs are and how you can't dim them nearly as much as stock. I don't like driving with bright dash lights but I still want that cool blue type color for the gauges, HVAC and headlight switch. I think I can deal with them not looking as sharp as LEDs might look. Anyone know where to colored bulbs for our cars? Also, I'm a little confused on which bulbs in the cluster actually get replaced... I read a very detailed write-up on it and got an idea, but someone mentioned if you switch to blue bulbs, your needles won't show up or something... any truth to that? If so, how can I swap to blue lights and maintain the needle visibility? I'm an electronics novice so try to keep things simple for me lol... thanks guys.
