    Default B-body vs fbody lt1

I am looking for a lt1 for my vette and I am actually having trouble finding a motor with accessories and wiring and pcm. I might have found a b-body motor for 500 but I have to pull it my self. I know the heads are different. But what else is different about them?

If this doesn't work out I may piece together so spare parts I have. I am just trying to avoid this because the spare block I do have was spun up to 7k and broke every rod cap in the motor. which is making me nervous about using the block.

I've heard that the vette blocks were 4 bolt main, with the b body motor being a 2 bolt main, but aside from that, the short blocks are identical. Where you get into the big differences are the camshaft and the heads. The b body LT1 had iron heads that were basically the prototypes for the vortec heads. The b body cam is also really small as well. Also, the water pumps have different outlets between the different cars. All B bodies came with the upgraded vented opti's. I'll add more if I can think of anything more, but there really aren't that many differences between the two.

Make sure it says "5.7" and not "4.3" on the top/rear of the engine
