sun abused dash

Hi,

I am in the process of redoing my dash. The sun has beaten on it pretty bad. I have a dash cover I just painted and am going to install. The problem is the new dash cover makes the old areas around the passenger side air bag stand out. Any suggestions for repairing this? I'm not sure if the material is a type of plastic or vinyl, and if it can be reconditioned to fit correctly.

Theres a carpet material cover that goes over the entire dash that they sell. The only downfall is driving in the spring with the windows down you get pollen all over it.

Allergies would most certainly kill me lol, between the floor carpet and then dash carpet. Thnx for the reply though.
