93 octane or 90 octane pure gas?

So the area I just moved to has a fuel station that sells all three grades with ethanol, up to 93 octane, AND has 100% gas at 90 octane. Straight gas is 10 cents more per gal. Which is better, why, and why the hell is straight gas more expensive! Lol

"Straight gas" means no ethanol?

Fuel with ethanol draws in moisture so if your car is going to sit for long periods of time I would put regular gas in it. You can get ethanol free gas at most marinas or fuel stations by marinas.

My Camaro is my DD, but I probably should use ethanol free in my '68 Charger, she doesn't get driven as much. Really just wanting to hear some opinions.

I've read that ethanol gets lower gas mileage due to its potential for energy storage than gasoline does, though it will increase octane ratings. My CR is 11:1 on my 383 build. I don't think it really matters performance wise for me, but like I said, just curious about opinions.

I believe I read somewhere that ethanol is bad for older engines with cork gaskets. I don't know how bad gas with 10% ethanol would be. If you use 100% ethanol fuel you do use more but it has a higher octane rating and burns cooler

Hmmm I wonder if we have fuel woth no ethanol in it here in pa.

I'm in Florida and the only place I can find it is either at a marina or gas station that's close to Marina

Probably not at your common gas station. To my knowledge, all gasoline for automobiles is blended with up to 10% ethanol during summer months. During colder months, they reduce the percentage of ethanol to improve engine starting. Thing is, they charge more in the summer for fuel than in winter, but you get less gas mileage!

Edit: I assume you're asking about availability of 100% gas. I would imagine it has to be somewhere in the state, lol! I've moved out to "the country", so I'm guessing farmers may use it. Maybe in the more rural parts of the state, possibly.
