Well even in the midst of all of the TWP and CHIEFs dirty games.... I will be heading in this week while HURRICANE SANDY beats up the East Coast... I know Im not any help out on the street, but if I can be of any help to the community from inside the PD.......Ill do my best.
I feel like Im letting the community down, while I focus on defending myself against their BS.....

Hang in there... just know that this was at 11am... only 2 hours after I got to work to ride my desk...
You see, my Chief is in his low 60s and always cold... soooo when I got to work at 9 am, I figured it was weird that the PD was very comfortable....
I didnt put it all together, but when a very unhappy Chief saw me arrive and walk to my desk... he all of the sudden needed to set the thermostate.....
I didnt pay any mind because like i said he is always hot.... 2 hours later when I felt like I was melting, I took a look.... he had it cranked...(the pic above).... Still I thought to myself...his office has no vents and he has only a small space heater at his feet, he prob has it cranked to get the heat into his office......
I fought through it and since I have to get up and walk every 15 or so minutes, I would just get some fresh air outside then come back in for a while......
FInally it was creeping into the PEGGED section of the stat...thats right, he turned it up even higher.... The secretary came back to me, and said "why dont you come out front and sit at the desk up front so I dont die...... She has a front door office and the heat does not hold up there.
I told her no.... Thats my desk ,and for the duration of this "game," that is where I will be waiting to do things within my limitations.
Finally around 4pm I went into the highway dept garage and bs'd with the guys.... I returned to my desk at 420, and the Chief had left for the day... in the next picture you will see...... is a closed door to his office.....

Directly behind my desk.... the entrance to the bosses office, which has NO heat vent inside it.... closed, but not locked... above the water cooler.... the thermostat, PEGGED at 90 degrees now....Is there any doubt to anyone that the heat is pegged because my work station, while I am here...is the ONLY one affected by the raised heat????
seriously, by closing his office door and pegging the heat for the over night... he wants his office to be cool and not gather all of the heat from out in my work area......

makes me just sweat looking at the temp. maybe you should invest in a mini fan later in the week so he doesn't think anything about it. cause seems like he may have wanted you to turn the heat down because he wants to make you mad. and then the jerk face shuts his door. not cool.
I know... but Id rather tough it out.. and show I need nothing to adapt to his unhealthy work enviornment.

Not writing me up yet, but def becoming a hostile work environment. Like I stated before , for now its their fault Im not qualified with my hand gun... so I go in and get paid to do NOTHING for 8hours, so they try to make those 8 hrs miserable for me....Once Im qualified, and they order me into uniform.... the discipline will FLY.. Larry, I'm sorry I haven't kept up as of late. I will get myself caught up. This looks absolutely ridiculous. Props to you for not flipping your lid about the whole thing! I could have said that a LONG time ago. I'm kind of scared to go back because I don't want to see what I know I'll find. I can't imagine being someone's freaking boss and doing these kind of things. The best boss is a mentor, IMO. This certainly is the polar opposite.

So i am now the midshift secretary...lol.
I dont mind sleeping in before comming in...but he thinks he is punishing me by not allowing me to socialize with the roadcrew in the am...and also having lunch with them at 1130.... Oh well....
I was at a cop friends bday this weekend and i was speaking with another chief of police...he couldnt even believe any of this....

And.. You know how to handle this one already... Get them by the nuts again by, well, not reacting at all. Theres nothing that could piss them off more when they try to get to you, and dont one bit.

thats beside the point.... it is to separate me from them... but at the same time it separates me from him... so I'm thinking I may be bothering him sitting at the PD all day with nothing to really do.... so... he pushes me out....

Well...nothing new to report.... put in two full weeks of secretary duty...from noon till 8 at night...veering from the proper use of my meds has got me gimped up bad..... Ive gotten back on my regimineafter work friday till now and im still not improving..... I hate this game!

so, today I just got word THAT same person that has been causing me issues, took home the unmarked Gran Marquis, since he crashed the cherokee...... and he toasted the transmission...
...which ironically was also going in the cherokee, and part of why he was hoping they would total that, so he didnt have to build a trans... andddddddd, I just learned his personal vehicle also has a whooped tranny....
WTF!!!! if that was me...... they wouldve been taking blood from me after the crash (per our SOP) and then after two trannies, wouldve been sending me back to EVOC drivers training.....
