Just trying to earn my sea legs

@whiteheartbeat that's where I was going to ask for suggestions. Not sure where to start. Most likely going to end up making my own mesh screen/"grill" .Off to my local Home Depot/Lowes I go?


Second question..I feel that I'm in the market for hood struts. The existing ones are shot anyway and couldn't support the stock hood, I thought they'd be enough to support the fiberglass hood but can't do that either. My body guy suggested maybe getting a replacement set from VFN rated at 35 lbs. any other suggestions there?

I would personally go with something nicer then a Home Depot type grill maybe order something online. I know there is different type of mesh available. Don't know about the hood struts cause I have my stock ones on the Ultra Z and it works fine but the guy gave me his when I bought the hood but not sure if they're stock or not. I assume the body guy would know best.

I'd do a hinge conversion.

@Dan if you're referring to the 6LE hinges then it won't work. Least that's what Gil told me, said they only made em for the LS cars and the mounting points are different.
