Sounds like a ..... Well, Im not going to say it...
Pitching or catching?
Chief,
I will be unable to respond for duty Weds the 19th due to severe back pain. I will need to begin my prescribed medication again, which I had attempted to stop so I could be at the office, but as you previously advised, I am not allowed to work in the office while taking the medication that my treating Physician prescribed for my work related injury.
Sincerely,
Larry Hanna #8
Chief,
It appears as though Thursday will also need to be taken off for a continuation of the same reason.
Thank You,
Larry
Surely after the last two days of the last two emails.... I would receive a response...."hope you feel better." "keep us updated..." "go fuk yourself Larry..."
But nope...... nothing.....
Hope you get to feeling better Larry. We care here.
I know, and as much as a dick as I can be sometimes, busting balls, or getting irritated, and not filtering my thoughts....
I do know you all do.... and I know Ive beaten this to death.... but outside of Miss Popo, this is my only real VENT...even if
no one responds....
THIS PROVES YOU ALL CARE:

I love the part where you said "as you previously advised" and "medication my physician prescribed for a work related injury". He was probably advised NOT to respond by their lawyers!
Damn dude....I honestly dont know what to say. Are you afraid they might try to fire you for taking off? Can they?
Thats good. Can you still take off those days even if your chief doesnt give you the ok? I mean its their doctor right?
What sucks is that because the insurance company is looking out to save their wallet, it's costing you YOUR aquired leave time that's supposed to be for vacation or personal days NOT work injuries.
Exactly... the thing I do not understand though, is that when I was light duty.... for the same injury, my treatments were on the clock...now that I am "FULL" duty, I have to go to the same treatments for the same injury on my aaquired time....
And they can say nothing is wrong with me all they want... the insurance company is still paying for my treatments, and my meds.... CONFLICT????
I was referring to the un-answered emails you sent your chief about taking off for the doc. Sorry lol
lol... sorry, I have a hard time reading outside the box... just didnt understand... No, further back in the thread I explained how he sent me a smart ass email when I was first ordered back, but my doctorS didnt agree, that if I cant do it, I have plenty of leave time on the books which "I will approve." SO I dont think that is a worry for now....
Chief,
I just wanted you to know that I am feeling better since getting some rest off my feet, and restarting my medicine.
Unfortunately I will not be in tomorrow (Friday the 21st) due to an appointment for another injection at Performance Spine for my work related injury and I will have to take medication (valium) in preparation.
Thank You,
Larry Hanna #8
Soooo, I forgot to update something interesting... and again, I put this out there, because I have nothing to hide.
A good friend of mine, in the same line of work as me is friends with a Police Officer in another Dept.....
Apparently, a cop from that other department saw me hanging out at KNOPPS PERFORMANCE, the garage where we built my
car, and my hangout..... That cop made a sarcastic (ball busting) comment, that went something like, "look at Hanna ,
outta work and down at Knopps pulling motors outta cars..." Well that got back to my Chief.... apparently, my Chief went
to that other police department when the officer that said that was working and confronted him, asking, DID YOU
PERSONALLY SEE LARRY HANNA MOVING ENGINES WHILE HE IS OUT OF WORK? , The Officer looked at him and said "no, I
did see him there, but he was just hanging out like he always does."
Apparently, my Chief's facial expression went from giddy to SOMEONE JUST RAN OVER MY DOG.....
Your chief needs punched in the mouth. If you will help me "escape" I will help you with that. Seriously that's bull dude. Sounds like he is out to get you
Btw, at a Dr appointment now.....
and have an injection at 1245pm
all paid for by the insurance company.... all for a problem i "dont have."

You must really like needles then. I passed out last time I got a blood test.

you know I went back and read this from your post in 2011 to post my first comment, about it being ridiculous. the more you update this thread about your back and about the "problem you don't have" well frankly kinda pisses me off that they still think you have no freaking problem. like really? they're still paying for all your doctors visits for a problem you DON'T have, but yet you have to take your own time off and not be on the clock. just yeah. :banghead:I hope today goes well for you though.
LOL... Its funny, as long as I dont look I can deal with them just fine..... but I have never been a fan of them.... In fact, I have to take valium so that I can relax enough while they drive them wayyyy in.......
I cant believe they think I do this as a hobby.... and if my boss or the insurance co would read the release I sign everytime I get an injection, they would see that I risk paralysis every time.... something I think we can agree MOST people would only risk because they want to try anything to STOP THE PAIN...
Well I know it was prob alot of reading, and I appreciate you going back and reading it... what kills me is that when I got hurt and they put me out of work... I contemplated faking that I was OK, to not leave my partners and that township hang..... But through alot of thinking, and the advice of friends here and my candid Doctors, I bit the bullet and admitted weakness, and I went out...... and now a full 180*
Its like no matter what I chose, they chose the opposite, just to battle me....
THanks Again....
after three days off i got a response from the boss.....he wrote;
"ok, I will need you to email me your hours for Monday morning payroll."

Those injections huuuuuuurt. The feeling of that needle is unexplainable. If they don't help, stop getting them. My doctor said you're only supposed to get 3 epidurals a year at the most.
Yes they do hurt the issue is tgey are not all epidurals.... im more like a dart boarf im a dark room.... ive had them in the si joints... the epidurals...the piriformas.....the list goes on... and all multiple times.... this week the dr tried something dif wondering if the pai is coming from damage to my him from my manipulated walk..... if u dont know.... the hip injection is done with a 3.5" needle... just off to the side of MY JUNK!!!!
