already checked all valve springs and rocker lash. not that. also if that was the case it would be everywhere in the rpm range, not here and there off idle only between 1000-1600rpm. headers also wouldnt read temp the same across them at idle (i have had a ls7 lifter fail on another build, that was a simple way to see something was up)

Oh, my '97 had strange electrical issues that I suspected were ground related. The alternator was the culprit, dropping from 13.xx to 12.xx when it got warm. Put a brand new AC-Delco on it and replaced the roached out battery cables with a super-sized set.

I'm stuck in the house with Covid. My wife got it first, she thinks from close contact when she was getting physical therapy on her hip issue. I got it Tuesday, ran a real high fever yesterday, then when the fever broke I started feeling better. We've both been Vaxxed and Boosted in 2021.

After thinking about it while I had nothing else to do, it sounds like a fuel related issue like a sticking FPR(lean) or maybe something in your fuel tables?
Then again, the fuel gauge suddenly jumping could lead you to a reference voltage issue.

sorry to hear that, everyone i know thats vaxxed and boosted has had covid more times than anyone i know with no shots

the tune hasnt changed since this happened, been running the same tune since may. richening and leaning it did nothing to help the issue. fp gauge reads right where it should be, unless something else is going. frustrating, car ran great then after a few rides (post 9.90 pass) its slowly been going downhill

I saw you changed the plug wires but have you checked the plugs? Maybe a tip got melted at some point?

first thing i did after replacing maf when the nitrous backfire happened. they are fine

Does your car still use the ICM? Typically when they go out the car won't even start but maybe give that a check.
