well i knew karma wouldbt let me break for long.... so here is the short version cause it starts to piss me off...

I address the rangemaster... he says TELL THE CHIEF...i approach the chief and tell him..
he asks me what med...and i tell him its an extended release pain med i take twice a day....
he spends the next hour faxing phone calls text messages....till he angrily calls off qualifying... i ask him..IS IT A NO GO.... he says YOU CANT GO TO THE RANGE ON THAT AND YOU CANT WORK FULL DUTY...HELL U SHOULDNT EVEN BE DRIVING....
anyways i figure...well some one fukd up... the ins co pre authorised the meds (refilled as of 3days ago).... and they released me to full duty...
soooo how can i be released to full duty while accepted treatment requires a med i cannot use while working....yet instructions are am dose and pm dose.... so its clear it would be in me 24/7....and they pay for and send me to therapy.... proceedures...even an mri this past weds for a problem i have that they claim i dont have...

WHat really sucks now is my internal conflicts.....
You all know by now, since the beginning, I thought about lying about being better just to get back to what I love doing...
Since then, they fought me on every turn... barely giving me light duty... after a while cutting me off on light duty.... asking me to come back for a weekend to do light duty, but my work status had been changed to no work... I got my doctor to clear me for light duty, just for the Chief to say never mind, stay home....... then I stay home.. the entire time doing injections, denervations (NERVE BURNING) Physical Therapy, Aqua Therapy, Chiropractor, Aggressive Physical Therapy, etc etc etc.... Then the insurance companies attorney sends me a letter asking me what I was looking for to settle and get out.... I ignore it, because I dont want to retire.. I spend time fighting being forced into retirement, because I want to get better and get back to being a cop....then all of the sudden that Insurance company Dr, that had only ever seen me twice, and didnt treat my condition at all...releases me to full duty well before Im physically capable.... off the record, he says Im lying and exagerating.... My chiropractor who is half my size cant believe they would release me.. he tells me "I could take you down to the ground with out breaking a sweat" and I dont doubt it... My treating physician says, I need to get an attorney (which I have 2) because if I get into a struggle, besides the dangers of losing the fight, I have a chance of damaging whatever it is that has not been identified, and causing permanent damage... my treating physician prior to him whom I no longer see because on our last visit, I got upset when he told me, "You will never be a police officer again."
The insurance company still pays for my treatments and meds.... but release me to work because that dr says Im OK (lying and exagerating)....well then what the fuck am I being treated for... and how can you release me to full duty as a police officer while presenting me with a narcotic as my daily treatment... NONE OF THIS MAKES SENSE, and Im truly LOSING IT....

Is there an academy near you? A few years ago I became an emergency vehicle driving instructor so our city would get a discount on insurance premiums for having a driving instructor on staff. Because of that now I'm one of a handfull of instructors and the Western Missour Regional Police Academy teaching slow speed skills, skid pad control, and pursuit driving to academy recruits. We also do yearly training for my department and several others in the KC metro. It's a TON of fun and pays an hourly rate equal to my overtime rate now! I've decided if something happened that prevented me form working the road I'd go to the academy full time. All of the instructors at our academy are full time or retired cops, just something to think about.

But I think after that, Im going to have to take off everyday.... and burn up my leave time....
I spoke with my Dr, and he does not want me to stop taking the pain med "treatment" (1 in the am and 1 in the pm) so that it can continue to control the pain (it does not stop it, but it does reduce the amount of times I have spiked to being unable to move.....
I hate burning up my time... I did the math and I have about 400 hours of leave time... at 40 hours a week that will buy me 10 weeks... that's only 2 and a half months.... if we have not fought and beaten the insurance company Doctor by then.... Im gonna be fukd........BAD!

Well as you all (who are still following know)..... I was given an ultimatum to either go to work (which even though full duty means sitting at a desk because I am not qualified with my firearm) or take my medications that were prescribed by MY treating physician, and use my accumulated leave time to NOT GO IN.
Well, as of Thursday, I tried stopping my scheduled med....I made it through the weekend ok, but from sunday night till today, I have progressively gotten more of the pain back, and am nearly unable to walk/move.... so it looks like Im going to have to use my Leave time, so I can take my med regimen....
It suck, because they know they are gonna put me in a tough spot, and I am going to run out of leave time.... and they are hoping I will get desperate.... But I have to worry about now for NOW, because Im now progressively getting worse by the day.

I know it, because there is info I have posted that has come back to me....

PS, for the last two weeks at work... Ive ridden a desk.... and stare at the computer.... when I ask if there is anything the Chief had for me to do, he gave me an investigation to locate a TV remote that was observed in one of 4 vehicles that were stolen and recovered 6 months ago....SERIOUSLY!!!!!
It would be cheaper to use the TWPs money to buy the alleged victim a new TV with a remote than paying me $33.22/hr to do that!
