My Pros and Cons in a small town PD.

It really has become a chess game.... but what sucks is i CAN NOT afford to lose.... the chief.

the twp.... the ins co...
win or lose, their 2moro will be the same..... one wrong decision or move on my side this can criple me (multiple meanings)


Background on my boss... after 6 years as a cop wayyyy back... he became chief of cherry hill nj.... finished his career there and retired.... he then was hired as chief at a decent size pa dept... and aft a few years was "escorted from the property, and his computers were seizef...." It was so hush hush that he became our chief.....

he is about 65 years old also...

The ignore him til we need him approach......... its a waiting game now!
As long as you follow direction and policy there is not much else to do... I find it very upsetting that they would be this way however, I am not surprised :( hang in there bro.........

So this week... im now 4 days deep..
Spent all 8 hrs a day there everyday.
Not takin my meds are killin me...I think i may make a long weekend and get tge meds back in my system...

What have i done all week u ask????
-answered 2 phone calls
-answered questions for one walk in.
-cleaned and lubed 3 of my guns
-cleaned and lubed 2 knives
- drank lotsa coffee.

Some I'm reading this, thinking how the hell do you lubricate a knife. In my mind I'm thinking like a big hunting knife or fixed blade. Then 5 minutes latter it hits me. A folding knife you dip why the hell would you lubricate a fixed blade.

Is it friday yet lol

Well, the week is over... I was there 36.5 hours out of 40...

2day I had to leave early for a mid day Physical Therapy appointment....

No real new updates... just livin the dream.....

A local PD to where we live has recently been in the lime light for being called dysfunctional.... in the article I saw a quote by their FOP rep... it SPOKE LOUD to me.... "When you are less concerned about what's going to happen to you out on the street than you are about what's going to happen when you walk into work, that's a hostile work environment,"
