Putting a TH350 in CORRECTLY can get expensive too. You need a conversion kit to do it right. The kit replaces the output shaft so that you can use a spacer block and the factory 700/4L60E tailhousing. This gives you a place to bolt the mount and torque arm, and the electronic speedo. The car will launch lazier and not have an O/D either. Remember, a 700/4L60E has a 3.06 first gear. A TH350 has a 2.48. A 350 really hurts 60 ft. times. Makes your 3.73s feel like 3.15s.

The kit is $250 and the trans has to be disassembled to swap the output shaft.Frank

If you are swapping I would be eager to buy the 6 speed console insert from you if it's in good shape. When I converted from auto to manual I had a hard time finding one from a 93 with the shift pattern in yellow. I ended up buying a 94+. If I can locate my auto console insert maybe we can work out a trade? Mine has the yellow letter/numbers from a 3.23 car so it does have a "1" for first gear. Just wanted to throw this out there!

So what did you decide? Ever sell the m6?

Haven't decided anything yet. I am deep into my 3rd gen project so my car is sitting under a cover for a while
