Im just having a hard time tryin to understand how i can be cared abiut so little that not only is my health and life worth puttin some thought into this... but so are the otger officers whom i back up and all the residents who do but faith in us protecting them when it hits the fan....
and the worst part... the insurance company is still covering my aggressive physical therapy....my chiropractor....my pain psychologist....and my primary physician visits...pLus another upcomming MRI and another injection.... but yet IM CLEARED FOR FULL DUTY?!?!? Then if im ok.... why are they covering the bill for treatments that a person with nothing wrong...wouldnt need...

At the first instance you feel that your injury is putting your life or someone else's in danger, just go home. Tell the dick (I will no longer refer to him as chief), you feel your safety is in jeopardy and go home. If they want to fire you over it, let em. Wrongful termination lawsuits can bring a hefty chunk of coin nowadays. There's no way a jury is going to rule against an officer that got hurt on duty and lost his job for it. Like you mentioned earlier, your injury, and the inability to perform your job due to it, can get others or yourself hurt or worst. Its not worth it. Just go home
^This. In this situation I probably would have stopped caring about the particular PD I was working for and the screwball insurance company they had. With the amount of evidence that you have against them, you'll get what's yours no matter what. It might not leave particularly good feelings between you and the Chief/PD you worked at, but it seems like they have already burned the bridges as is. If they want to risk a lawsuit, and risk being forced to payout more than what is already owed you, then that is their problem, and you really shouldn't concern yourself with it. At this point, it's time to get selfish and look out for number one.
I wish all this bs wouldnt happen right before weekends.... no one is in their office for me to confer with... my atty is slow gettin back to me on weekend... no one from workmans comp ins co is in on the weekend to make delivery of my docs work status..... it just puts a kink in everything...amd i sit and stew......for days.
I gotta feel that if tge insurance company gets my docs work status saying i should not be full duty... they will reverse it at least temporarily till we have a hearing to see which doctor knows best.... there has to be some kinda liability issue for them to keep me released for full duty after my docs report is read.... i mean my treating dr says no full duty... the ins co is still aknowledging something is wrong because they are still taking care of all types of medical proceedures....
sigh*
