Its more than that... that would be the case if either I was not an exception to be treated worse.. or he wasnt "special," and not held to the sma erules....

Ah true
Well , off 2moro for an Arthrogram (MRI with DYE) of the hip.... My chiropractor suggested that maybe I had damaged my hip as I have been limping for almost 2 years now. We did a regular MRI and found no damage, however when we took a shot in the dark to do a steroid injection, I got amazing relief for almost 3 full days, untill I went back to aggressive physical therapy.
Sooooooooooo, I was sent by my treating Physician to an Orthopedic Surgeon, and EMG has not shown NERVE DAMAGE or IRRITATION, and I was ordered the arthrogram....
FOR those that dont know, the hip joint is injected with dye (same location that I had the steroid injection)... then I get put in an MRI machine..and if the dye is leaking out... then I have a laberal tear of the joint....
I hate to say it... but Im hoping to find SOMETHING more than just NERVE damage... cause then there is something to fix...
Its a shame when all u wanna do is get better to get back to doing the job u love...that they are just trying to take away from u and throw u in the toilet.....and i need to HOPE that there is something actually torn...or broken with my own body.... Just so i can be taken seriously by the people tryin to toss me in the trash!!!!!

That's f-ed up. Still got my fingers crossed although this one isn't such a good one
Hope the MRI with dye shows something so you can get a little peace, Larry. You're far too nice of a guy to deserve all the shit they give you. :(
Thanku guys. I appreciate it.... Im really losing it from the constant weight of all of this.... To the point everyone of my days is a chess game that i plan and schedule out way before the day comes...and by the time it comes i have a plan...a back up plan...and a plan to back that one up....... Cause if i dont...they wouldve had me fired already... And my fight would be..everything im doing PLUS trying to get my job back...all while not being paid.

Arthrogram today for my hip... For those guys out there that dont know... 3.5" needle used to inject the dye...and how do they get to the hip joint???? Bout 2" from the base of the JUNK.... NOT NICE!!!!
Btw, the Dr, had his fingers at the side of my boys.... said:" I need to feel for your femoral artery, Im gonna try not to hit that..."" I lifted my head and said :TRY?!?!?!?!
I'm feeling for you Larry. While I haven't read this entire thread, this really sucks. Hopefully you'll find some relief and victory will be yours. I have an issue with my hip which started from a visit to the chiropractor (sp). He said my right hip bone was tilted (don't remember if forward or back), he adjusted it saying it would firm up again in a few weeks. Well, it never did. Now if I don't work out and keep all of the muscles in good working order, it will all start hurting again. Took me several years to figure out what was going on (self diagnosis) and getting it working again. When it hurts, it hurts, no doubt about it. If I get slack and let the muscles lose enough of their conditioning, my hip will slip again and I will be aching and limping again for several months. What it comes down to is this ... getting old sucks: don't do it if you can help it :D J/K! Get well soon bro ... people need good popo's.

Man it just never quits. You do one test to determine the next test and another test to confirm the last test! You've gotta be feeling like a lab rat just to prove you actually in pain. It sucks there's so many dishonest people out there you have to go through all this to prove your not bullshiting them. At least the Doc missed your femoral artery! Love the pic of how everyone see's you!
Ur right.... Ultimatley it is because of many taking advantage of the system that i have to feel like the lab rat/pin cushion..... As much as its driving me nuts...i understand the ins companies side.... I dont understand my employer.... Anyone who knows me knows i love my job...and at 36 years old im far from wanting retirement...and staring down the barell of termination....if anyone was faking this would make them stop... But im not..... Its not all about the pay...or the fact that i have enough health issues to be able to survive without health insurance.... i love what i do.....did.

Fingers crossed.
I need all your wishes or prayers or whatever you got....
What MAY happen is not exactly what I want.... but its a flip to the way Ive been being treated, and some new information.... I just can not talk about it with anyone, until my Doctor can fill my Attorneys in, and they can address my employer.....
Larry, I will be praying to God, via his Son Jesus Christ, that you would be delivered from the disheartening way you've been treated recently. I'm also going to ask that He be with your doctors, nurses, lawyers, and coworkers so that everyone involved will work together at this most important time to bring about a positive resolution for your unfortunate situation. I especially pray that your medical team will find a care plan that will restore your physical condition quickly and lastly but most importantly for Mrs popo, that she be given the strength needed to continue on. I have just recently caught a glimpse of what my wife has been going through for the last 2 years. Watching someone you love struggle everyday for something that you are incapable to help with is taxing on the mind. I hope the road from here on out is a it less bumpy than its been for you.
Wow man...
Im not religious anymore (something the job and society changed in me a long time ago) but ur words are very nice ..and I cant tell u how much I appreciate that response and the effort u put into ur message....
THIS is why I love this site....

Larry I too will be praying for you on my end. I believe the way this whole ordeal was handled very poorly. Like I said I'll be praying for you throughout the rest of this situation. Good luck brother keep your head up.

You and Mrs popo will be in my prayers also. And just a reminder the above mentioned God/Son combo have never forgotten you Larry. Regardless what your perspective of them may be at his point in your life.
Well... Here we go...
I literally just got off the phone with my treating Physician....
It has been confirmed.... I DO have a laberal tear in my right hip joint....
There are two theories....
One: that has been the injury all along and why i could only get temporary relief from any of the proceedures..... Possibly being the epicenter and the pain radiates up and down away from it.....
Two: that there still may be something wrong with my back...however limping to compensate and moving in ways that have been guarded for that side...may have damaged the hip.
Either way....my attorney...and the doctors....including my nurse case manager agree that it still stems from or is the injury...making it work related...... And should allow me back out of work and the bs games that are played to have surgery...heal and be back to normal....
The only complication is if the insurance co wants to argue that it is not the same injury...in wich we will have to go to court and settle it thru litigation......
So BAD NEWS=s GOOD NEWS!!!
& The discussion of retirement hopefully moves to another 13 years from now!!!!

Wow that is a big discovery! I would be curious to know Why that "minor" detail was overlooked for such a long time...
But any way that is great news tat they finally found the root cause of all these and you are taking steps to get it done!

Well I'm glad you ae making some good progress but its unfortunate to here that there are issues causing you pain. Thru the legal process you should definitely make mention of the emotional distress you've been dealing with from your superiors.
It's good to hear you at least are getting answers -- hope it continues to get better!
One of my Doctors as well as my attorney are telling me the legal term is MISDIAGNOSED, and we will see if it will be addressed later... especially with the Doctor that said there was nothing wrong with me and that I can return to work full duty....
It does suck..... and I will be speaking with the surgeon 2moro about surgery. Aparently there are not alot of people who do this surgery around here orthoscopically and they all just filet the hip.... I dont like that.... so, Im gonna have to do some research...... but thank you... .from shitty comes good....
I hope so also... and there is still a chance it gets worse, being that the insurance company can try to insist that it is not work related or related to the same injury, although they have been supportive and picking up the tab for all of the hip testing that has brought us to this point, so I hope now that something is physically wrong and all the assholes that said I was milking it or faking it are shut up... we can focus on getting me better, and not litigation and terminating me just so I have to fight my way back.... etc etc etc...
Thank You all....
Well I'm glad to hear that Larry as messed up as it is to say that in this situation.
That's huge Larry! Very very glad they actually found the big issue, and that it's gonna get you back on the right path. Very very very happy to see this man!
Definitely a good thing that there is something fixable, as much as it sucks that there is something messed up in the first place.
