my 3" duals done

I built this setup for sound and i got just what i wanted. couldnt be happier. It is a very DEEP sound. Its a 3" setup with an H-pipe and delta 40s. Future plans include adding tailpipes over the axle and DMH low-pro cutouts up front. It is basically the same setup 95greenZ has just 3" instead of 2.5"

that is badass! sounds amazing and you have more room than i've seen with alot of true dual cars.

thanks! I should have mention i did to a little clearancing to the floor pans under the seats, but youd never know from inside the car.

Sounds badass what's your idle set at? I need to lower mine some.

my idle is 650 --- but now that idve started to mess with ignition timing and mixtures, whether or not it actually idles depend on which direction the wind is blowing. haha. I need to raise it some until i get my idle tuned better.

the floor pans under the rear seats are "bowl" shaped. Its very soft metal there, i took a hammer and flattened them out some. Gained at least an inch. It might have even made the rear seats more comfortable to sit in now because you dont sink so much into them.

I wanted to actually cut the seat pockets out and weld in a patch of straight sheet metal, but i was in a hurry and said eff it - can always do that later too.

Could you by chance do me a favor? I'm planning on doing almost the exact same setup, and was wondering if you could do the pop can test and take a picture of it? With the pop can at the very lowest point of the exhaust? That'd be awesome.

unfortunately I am away at school for the next two weeks, so its going to be a while before i can get you pictures. Check back though, I will get you some. Im also going to get a wide-open-throttle video in the car [before I start the tail-pipe project].

I can tell you that i couldnt be happier with the clearance for being 3". The part i am most concerned about is the driver-side midpipe which had to come down on an angle from the header to clear the floorboard. You can kind of see it in the last picture. I am going to take a torch to it and try to flatten/re-bend that part of the pipe though. i think ill be able to regain a good inch or more of clearance there.
